Giving Tuesday: Growing Regenerative Connections
This Giving Tuesday, we are excited to invite you to join us in furthering some of the work that we have started (and in some cases built on) in collaboration with our partners.
We are inviting you to donate to one or more of three initiatives, which we are thinking of as similar to "pots." In each pot are metaphorical seeds that we have planted and are wanting to keep nurturing with your support.
We are inviting you to choose one or all of them. This serves both to raise critical donations for our initiatives and to help us know where you want us to be focusing our energies!
1) Hurricane Helene Follow-Up - Rē was part of a very meaningful and successful volunteer project in October 2024 in Tennessee after Hurricane Helene. This is a project to a) go back to those same areas and help out and b) convene conversations about the future of disaster response and what kinds of additional forms of capacity do rural (and other) communities need in the age of climate chaos.
2) Furthering the Participatory Action Research into the Future of Education. Join us in building on the PAR workshop in late October, where the focus of the workshop quickly became Education. We want to take these questions to the next step, creating a space for educators to engage in a participatory research initiative into specific and tangible ways they can be involved in advancing regenerative education. This might look like another workshop and/or ongoing learning journeys with us.
3) Reciprocity for Indigenous leaders - Over the last year, we've really gained a lot from our Indigenous colleagues, elders, and friends who have supported us in different ways. This includes elders who have informed the garden in Amesbury, building relationships in Tennessee, learning more about Plymouth MA, and deepening relationships with specific indigenous elders and community members. This 'pot' goes to our ability to continually find ways to support these people, especially as they experience ongoing health concerns, many of which occur as a result of the legacies of colonization.
Of course, we always pay people, both indigenous and non-indigenous, for direct support. This fund is part of a larger acknowledgment of the ongoing need for reciprocity.
Here's the link for you to contribute and to 'vote' as to which one(s) you want your donations to go towards!
As always, all donations, of all sizes, are really helpful to us!
Thank you so much!
