No. 072: Spring Retreat to Unpack History
March Potluck / June Farm to Table Dinner / Sequoia Samanvaya Offerings / Black Earth Compost / Imagine Studios / and More!
Happy Friday Regenerative School Community!
Rē believes that peace begins within the self and extends outward into our homes, communities, and beyond. Many of our offerings revolve around the “inner landscape,” where we cultivate intention, education, and awareness, gradually expanding to regenerate our environment and society. We partner with indigenous leaders, meditation teachers, and somatic practitioners to recenter healing in restorative justice work, peace building, and community care.
In the coming year, Rē is committed to deepening our impact. Through retreats, educational courses, and garden projects, we hope to revitalize Amesbury’s connection to the Earth. We have submitted multiple grants to fund a local soil restoration and education project. If you are curious to learn more or are interested in connecting, please reach out! Rē always welcomes more hands, hearts, and minds!
We are dedicated to growing, nurturing, and cultivating community. All of our offerings serve a higher vision and greater experience of connection, abundance, and resilience in community.
Keep scrolling for details on our upcoming March potluck, May retreat, June Farm to Table Dinner, and other community events.
We hope to see you so soon.
In gratitude,
The Rē Team

SPRING RETREAT OFFERING
Join us for a day in nature centered around transformation and healing. We will retreat into Alnoba’s reclaimed forests and wildlife habitats to unpack questions of remembrance, reconciliation, and the legacies we inherit and pass on to future generations. Yoga and meditation will support our journey into the depths of history and somatic healing. This seasonal reset will be a nourishing experience for all those interested in restorative justice and mindful unlearning. As always, this retreat will be guided by the wisdom of Ayurvedic seasonal practices and regional indigenous teachings.
The rētreat will be led by certified Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor, Thana Numan of Nourishing Wellness, Kristine Marie Hill of Collective Wisdoms, and Rev. Sara Jolena Wolcott of Sequoia Samanvaya. Our lesson will be centered around Laurel Guild Yancey and Tonya Ward Singer's discoveries of slavery and its legacy through shared stories.
Consider our invitation and lean into this incredible offering to ground into nature and deep community.

SEQUOIA SAMANVAYA OFFERINGS
ReMembering Course Info session
Tuesday, March 12, 2024 - 1 pm to 2:15 pm ET (The info session is recorded)
Course starts on March 25, 2024 - 6:30 pm ET
Join us for an information session on The ReMembering Course, a powerful, embodied journey of unlearning and re-Member our key origin stories to support addressing ongoing harms. Climate change and related social, ecological, and economic crises do not come solely from the industrial revolution: they arise from the legacies of colonization and, specifically, the Doctrine of Discovery and Domination. Learn about this powerful set of teachings and this learning journey. Through this course, we enter the already-present historical web of entanglement, leading us into the roots of climate change, racism, gender/sexual violence, Islamophobia, the property system, and other aspects of our dis-eased modern institutions. From within, we actively engage in healing.
Previous participants say that this course is “foundational,” “life changing,” “transformational” and “one of the most important courses I have taken.” This info-session brings in indigenous peacekeeper Kristine Hill, who shares her experience of the course and why she encourages other people to participate in it.
