RēMembering the Origins of Climate Change
New Short Course Coming Soon!
According to educator and theologian Parker Palmer, "the opposite of to remember isn't to forget, it's to dis-member." Course facilitator Sara Jolena Walcott applies this framework to our fragmented, short-term understanding of climate change. In this new, three-part course, participants will trace the roots of climate change back 500 years to its roots in colonialism, racism, and theology. Along the way participants in the course will also delve into their own family histories to make sense of the deep history of how we have arrived at today's climate crisis and how we can instead choose to build a more regenerative future. Click here to learn more about this upcoming course! Stay tuned for more details!

After taking her first class in Yogic Philosophy in 2016, she was inspired to pursue her 300HR Yoga Therapy training based on the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya and Mr. TKV Desikachar. The teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda deeply resonated with her not only on a spiritual level, but helped her heal from chronic health challenges as well. In her current studies, Thana is pursing a three-year 1,000 hour yoga therapy certification in this lineage through Yoga Well Institute, an International Association of Yoga Therapist (IAYT) accredited program. Your Guide to Forest Bathing: Experience the Healing Power of Nature by M. Amos Clifford
Forest bathing is a gentle meditation practice of connecting with nature. Rē’s co-founder, Ashlei Laing, found this book to be an incredible resource when she went on a vision retreat last summer. It has been an inspiration to her as she has helped plan this spring retreat with us!
This book is both an invitation to take up the practice of forest bathing and an inspiration to connect with nature as a way to help heal both the planet and humanity… Learn about the roots of the practice, how to deepen your relationship to nature, and how to begin a practice of your own. Practical matters such as finding a suitable trail and what to bring are also included.

Seasonal Ayurvedic Tips
Thana Numan recommends shifting your lifestyle and diet to assist pulling the winter energy, which is cold and liquid, out of the body. Keep reading for some of her tips:
Wake up earlier (before the sun).
Exercise (ideally in the morning, break a sweat!).
Do light oil application and then massage with broad strokes toward the heart. Shower the oil off without soap, except for underarms and private areas.
Shower with warm to hot water (except head, do not run hot water on top of head).
Do not over drink liquids. Drink only when thirsty.
Simplify your meals. No heavy or cold foods, try eating warm, cooked foods.
We hope you consider our invitation!
All are welcome! No experience needed, only open hearts!
