Updates from Rē:
Blossom into Spring: A Revitalizing Retreat
Blossoming into Spring was naturally beautiful! We all felt honored to have walked the paths of the land, here again, with everyone who was present in body or spirit. Folx came with open hearts and open minds and gave just as much as they received. Each took a deep inhale of awakening nature, and exhaled what no longer served them for mother nature to hold and heal. We hope everybody left feeling revitalized and full of love to spread out into the world!
A Note From Our Retreat Leaders:
We love that we can bring forward our work and our mission. Seen through offerings of peace to minds, bodies, souls and spirits; a nurturing and breathing love into action to build peace in our communities. Laying fertile ground for new beginnings and deeper learning environments and connections to one another. We look forward to what comes next!
While we grow into what’s to come, let’s plant a seeds amongst our readers near and far in a subtle call to action—to massage and nourish that inner landscape, to hold ourselves dearly and reach for practices such as these: simple breath/pranayama exercises, meditation, being in nature, eating nutritious/whole foods, shifting with the season, etc. We hope you feel supported through our online library, in-person retreat offerings, and through Caitlin’s (@withinwellness_org) and Thana’s (@nourish.me.wellness) personal practices.
We hope to plant another seed for our next retreat, we plan on hosting so many more! Are you interested in our different seasonal offerings? What time would work best for you? Please write to us and let us know, we would love to breathe with you.
In deep gratitude, peace and joy,
Thana, Caitlin and Ashlei
LOVE Garden: May Update
Our LOVE garden is LOVING these warmer, longer days. Donated native plants have taken over our LOVE sign, including some soap wart that can actually be used to make soap!
Many new transplants are doing well: including bush beans, tomatoes, peppers, squash, okra, kale, eggplant, cabbage, nasturtiums, red amaranth, sun flowers, zinneas, celtus, and a few wild edibles (such as lambs quarter and purslane)!
We cant wait for more visitors: song birds and neighbours alike! We have been busy mulching so that beautiful compost can help stop erosion during our heavy, heavy southern rains and protect mycelium running during hot, hot summer!
New Short Course Coming Soon!
RēMembering the Origins of Climate Change
According to educator and theologian Parker Palmer, "the opposite of to remember isn't to forget, it's to dis-member." Course facilitator Sara Jolena Walcott applies this framework to our fragmented, short-term understanding of climate change. In this new, three-part course, participants will trace the roots of climate change back 500 years to its roots in colonialism, racism, and theology. Along the way participants in the course will also delve into their own family histories to make sense of the deep history of how we have arrived at today's climate crisis and how we can instead choose to build a more regenerative future. Dr. Felix Bivens on Participatory Action Research
On May 20, 2021, experts and peacebuilders from all over the world congregated at Rē: The Regenerative School and Princeton Theological Seminary's online symposium, “A Child Shall Lead Us: Preventing Domestic Violent Extremism Through Youth and Congregations.”
In this short video, Dr. Felix Bivens, Co-Founder/Co-Director of The Regenerative School and Founder/Director of Empyrean Research, Fayetteville, Tennessee discusses how participatory action research (PAR) is a nonlinear process and incredible tool that "decenters the expert and recognizes the expertise of experience." PAR underlines so much of what we do and believe in here at Rē! Check it out!

That’s all for this week!
